About
A British-Armenian actor, writer and producer, trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where she graduated with first-class honours.
Most recently, Jessie starred in A Winter's Song (Amazon Prime Video), the first English-language holiday romantic comedy ever filmed in Armenia, which premiered on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles. Further screen credits include HBO's The Franchise, ITV's Grantchester, and The Eternal Words of a Dead Verse, starring opposite BAFTA winner Danny Dyer.
On stage, she has performed at Shakespeare's Globe, the Bush Theatre and the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, including originating the title role in the solo production I Am Karyan Ophidian, streamed globally online. For this, the Globe nominated Jessie for the Evening Standard Future Theatre Fund.
Jessie also develops and produces her own work. Her short film Pomegranate, which she starred in and produced, personally securing its financing, has screened at over 20 festivals internationally, won at the Brighton Rocks Film Festival and the Sweden Film Awards, and qualified for both BAFTA and BIFA consideration.
As a voice artist, she is the lead female voice of the UEFA Champions League Magazine Show, reaching audiences worldwide via UEFA.TV, TNT Sports and Amazon Prime Video.
Jessie is currently in pre-production on a new feature film, shooting in Los Angeles this autumn, and is developing her first feature as a writer. She has a passion for championing underrepresented stories and draws deeply on her Armenian heritage in her work as both a performer and a writer.
